Description: As the Caribbean moves to embrace Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) it is critical that the implementation of the CDM Strategy is undertaken within the appropriate legislative framework. This model National Disaster Management Bill and Regulations was developed through strategic partnering across the non-governmental sector and consultation with key partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries, and presents a comprehensive approach and analysis of all the legislative requirements for inclusion of CDM adoption. Financial support was provided by the European Union through the Institutional Support and Capacity Building for Disaster Management in the Caribbean Project.
